Punzenberger Joins Crosby~Volmer to Help Service Firm's Expanding Client List

New hire boasts array of Capitol Hill, campaign communications experience

WASHINGTON, DC — To keep pace with its growing list of clients, Crosby~Volmer International Communications (CVIC), a Washington, DC-based public relations firm, announced today the hiring of Luke Punzenberger as account supervisor.

"Luke brings a wealth of communications experience and savvy to the Crosby~Volmer team," said Rob Volmer, President of CVIC. "His unique background and skill set are sure to bring new depth to our accomplished team of communicators, and added value to our high-profile clients." Punzenberger comes to CVIC fresh off the campaign trail. He most recently served as the campaign press secretary for former U.S. Rep. Mark Green's (WI-08) gubernatorial bid. In this capacity, Punzenberger helped craft and execute strategic communication plans for Green, while serving as a lead spokesman for the campaign.

Prior to the campaign, Punzenberger served as Green's press secretary on Capitol Hill where he managed the representative's aggressive communications operation. As such, Punzenberger was Green's point person on an array of issues before Congress and in the news. During the 2004 election cycle, he also managed campaign events for several U.S. cabinet secretaries, senators and other high-profile political figures during their visits to Wisconsin.

Punzenberger earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Political Science from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., and was elected by his peers to the post of student body president. He is also currently pursuing a Master's degree in public relations from The Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C.
