Crosby~Volmer Welcomes Capitol Hill Veteran Katherine Mitchell to Public Relations Team

New Hire Brings Communications and Political Experience

WASHINGTON — Crosby~Volmer International Communications (CVIC), a Washington, DC-based public relations firm, today announced that Katherine Mitchell has joined its growing communications team as an Account Executive.

Prior to joining Crosby-Volmer, Mitchell worked on Capitol Hill as Press Secretary for U.S. Representative Candice Miller. In that capacity she was responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives to maximize district-wide media outreach while serving as the Congresswoman's official spokesperson. Her other responsibilities included drafting press releases and speeches, managing website content and producing the Congresswoman's radio and television programs.

Mitchell graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and worked as a sportswriter for the university's Daily Californian newspaper.
