Andrea Kurys Joins Crosby~Volmer's Oklahoma City Team
Former Broadcaster Brings Valuable Media Perspective
Oklahoma City, OK — Crosby~Volmer International Communications, a Washington, DC -based public relations firm, welcomes Andrea Kurys as the newest addition to its Oklahoma City office.
As an Account Executive, Kurys will be handling day-to-day activities and media relations for several of the firms' local, regional and national accounts.
Before joining Crosby~Volmer, Kurys was a reporter for KTEN-TV News in Denison, TX. As the station's chief bureau reporter, she worked covering news and stories of interest in Southern Oklahoma and North Texas.
"Andrea has first hand knowledge of the media, news cycles and how to successfully reach out to the media," said Senior Vice President Larry McAlister. "We welcome her as a valuable asset in both strategic and tactical media relations."
With more than seven years of combined experience in television and print journalism, Kurys' understanding of the media and strong relationships forged with reporters and editors will help Crosby~Volmer's clients achieve their communications goals.
A Canadian citizen, she graduated at the top five percent of her class from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She is actively involved in the Oklahoma City community, and is a member of the Association for Women in Communications and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
