“ACRO became a go-to resource for news media covering medical research, featured in the Huffington Post,
Al Jazeera and Dateline NBC.”
The Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) is a global advocate for safe, ethical and high-quality medical research resulting in the development of new treatments and therapies.
Each year ACRO members conduct clinical research trials in 115 countries while ensuring the safety of nearly 2 million research participants. The association was looking to increase its profile and enhance positive awareness among news media and industry regulatory organizations, particularly the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
Crosby~Volmer implemented a comprehensive media relations campaign to communicate the progress of the research trials and a government awareness campaign to educate appropriate government decision makers on the benefits of effective medical research. Messaging and strategies were designed to promote the integrity of ACRO-member study results as well as the safety of research participants and the efficacy of the clinical trials.
ACRO became a go-to resource for news media covering medical research, and the organization’s profile was enhanced as a thought leader among government representatives and regulatory gatekeepers. Capitol Hill briefings, education collateral, news media advisories, subject-matter expert interviews, op-eds and targeted profile stories were all employed to increase understanding of and support for ACRO and medical research issues. Among prominent news coverage, ACRO was featured in the Huffington Post, Al Jazeera and Dateline NBC.
