Office Coordinator and Assistant Account Executive (Washington, D.C.)

Crosby~Volmer International Communications, a boutique public relations firm based in Washington, D.C., has an immediate need to fill the position of office coordinator and assistant account executive. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day management of the office while providing considerable account support.

Specific assignments will include:

  • Management of the firm's intern program
  • Social media outreach (internal and client-facing)
  • Limited executive assistant duties
  • General administrative duties
  • Limited graphic design
  • Market research
  • Website content management and development

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Very strong writing skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Social media proficiency and demonstrated experience
  • Working knowledge of generally used software, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

Seasoned PR Professionals: Are You Triple A Material?

Crosby-Volmer International Communications is seeking to fill an Account Supervisor position – individual may work from any of our four offices (Washington, DC, Memphis, TN, Oklahoma City, OK, or San Francisco, CA). Partial telecommuting will be considered.

Our ideal candidate is Triple A:

A top notch media relations pro capable of dealing with a wide array of national, international and local press

A terrific writer capable of taking pen to paper and both creatively and technically showcasing our clients product and service offerings.

A capable client manager with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Handle media relations initiatives to targeted press nationwide
  • Generate ideas to consistently keep clients in the media spotlight
  • Develop pitches and work with targeted media on story development
  • Research and monitor clients' business and industry to maintain a current knowledge base
  • Assist with executing events, including press conferences, speaking engagements, editorial board meetings

Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in public relations, trade media relations and/or technical media relations
  • Superior writing skills with strong attention to detail – examples requested
  • Must demonstrate a history of successful media pitching, including feature coverage ideas to editors/reporters
  • Must be able to adhere to set timelines and budgets
  • Must have experience in publicity placement tracking
  • Must have experience with direct client relations

Staff Intern (Washington, D.C.)

Basic Function:

Crosby~Volmer International Communications, a Washington, D.C.-based public relations firm, is looking for a qualified intern to join our team.

Interns at Crosby~Volmer are an integral part of our team. We seek a skilled writer and self-starter, who has excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Compiling media lists
  • Writing press releases
  • Extensive research and organizational projects
  • Making pitch calls
  • General administrative duties

Communications, Journalism, and Public Relations undergraduates or recent graduates will be given preference.
