Luke Punzenberger, Vice President

With a background in political communication and messaging, Luke Punzenberger plays a lead role in developing and executing strategic communication plans on behalf of Crosby~Volmer's clients. These efforts include a wide range of traditional public and media relations activities, as well as highly targeted outreach efforts in the federal government sector. Luke has orchestrated public relations programs for clients ranging from national health care associations to well-known consumer products.

Background / Accomplishments

• Prior to joining Crosby~Volmer, Luke worked on Capitol Hill as the Press Secretary to former U.S. Representative Mark Green (WI-8). In this role, Luke managed the congressman's aggressive communications operation, while serving as his speechwriter and official spokesman on an array of local, state and national issues.
• A campaign veteran, Luke was also tapped by Green to serve as Press Secretary for his 2006 gubernatorial bid – one of the marquee political contests of the season. During the 2004 election cycle he also managed campaign events for several U.S. Cabinet Secretaries, Senators and other leading political figures.
• Luke helped develop and implement a highly successful government awareness campaign that resulted in a multitude of briefings with prominent public policy experts and federal regulatory agencies like the White House Council of Economic Advisers – the president's chief economic advisory body.
• Luke also boasts experience crafting consumer awareness campaigns that utilize a range of communication channels including social media, product launches and reviews, trade show publicity efforts and political outreach. His recent efforts on behalf of a major consumer product resulted in a nearly 200 percent increase in news coverage for the company's products over a 12-month period.
